Salve’s Client ISCA: MOVE Week Goes Global with More Than 11.500 Events in 43 Countries in Europe and Latin America

A new participation record was set by the end of the fourth edition of MOVE Week in September 2015 as more than 11.200 events were registered in over 2.000 cities in 43 countries in Europe and Latin America.

It was the first year when MOVE Week – the largest pan-European bottom-up community event of its kind promoting physical activity and grassroots sport –involved 5 countries in Latin America: Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay. The 38 participating European countries doubled the number of cities where MOVE Week events took place, with 1.707 cities hosting more than 5.100 events and engaging 1,5 million participants. Latin America contributed to these statistics with another 6.100 events (5.500 in Brazil alone) in 350 cities. More than 3.000 MOVE Agents, volunteers organising community events, contributed actively to the success of MOVE Week 2015.
