6 000 Danced to Open the MOVE Week 2015 in 66 Cities

More than 6 000 people danced simultaneously in 66 cities in one of the largest European flashmobs – FlashMOVE – last Sunday to mark the opening of MOVE Week 2015 and t celebrate the joy of movement.

MOVE Week is yhe biggest community bottom-up campaign promoting physical activity and grassroots sport taking place in September in 35 countries in Europe. It is expected to involve about 1 million participants in various activities.

FlashMOVE dancing events were staged in both main cities and small towns aiming to involve not only dancers but also citizens and passersby. The biggest number of dancing events were staged in Italy - 17 FlashMOVE events organised in 17 different cities with more than 2 000 participants. A stunning FlashMOVE event was organised at the Slovenian national stand at the biggest international exhibition EXPO 2015 in Milan which moved the visitors of the expo (see more at https://www.facebook.com/SloveniaExpoMilano2015?fref=ts). In addition FlashMOVE events were staged in many other cities having among them Paris in France, Ljubliana in Slovenia, Nicosia in Cyprus, Budapest in Hungary, Bratislava in Slovakia, Tallinn in Estonia, Thessaloniki in Greece, Gent in Belgium, Belgrade in Serbia, Plovdiv in Bulgaria and many more.
